Welcome to Aloha In Common

Hi, I'm Jennifer.
I created Aloha In Common around a simple belief:
We have so much more in common than we realize.

In a world that can be very good
at reminding us of our differences,
I wanted to create something that helps us
remember what connects us.

Sometimes those connections are meaningful.
Sometimes they're wonderfully ordinary.
We love some of the same foods.
We laugh at the same things.
We have hobbies that light us up.
We root for, and sometimes against, the same teams.

Some of us love shopping.
Some of us hate washing dishes.
Some of us love bacon.
Some of us don't.

And every single one of us needs to breathe.

Our lives don't have to look the same
for us to find a little bit of ourselves in one another.

That's our Aloha in Common.

To me, Aloha has always meant so much more than a greeting.

It holds love, compassion, respect, joy, gratitude, connection, and the full experience of being human.

And I've come to believe that we don't just find Aloha.
We can create it, practice it, share it, receive it,
and help someone else experience it.

That's what this space is becoming.
A place to come back to yourself.
A place to reconnect with other people.
A place to make room for what matters.
A place to laugh, breathe, create, give, receive,
and experience a little more Aloha in everyday life.

Sometimes that might mean getting quiet enough
to hear yourself again.

Sometimes it might mean clearing something you've outgrown.

Sometimes it's a conversation, an experience, a gift, a ritual, a moment of courage, or a small act that lets another person know:

You matter. I see you. We're connected.

Years ago, I wrote that I wanted to
help people breathe life and love into their lives.

I still do.

But now I understand that vision is
much bigger than I originally imagined.

Aloha In Common is where I'm bringing all of those pieces together.  And if something here helps you breathe a little deeper, feel a little lighter, reconnect with yourself, connect with someone else, or bring more life into the world around you, then we're doing exactly what we came here to do.

Welcome. Let's find, create, and share our Aloha in Common.
